Monthly Ethereum ETF flows since launch
The best month was Jul 2025 (+$5.43B, inflows on 21 of 22 days); the worst was Nov 2025 (−$1.42B). 2024 (from July 23): +$2.66B. 2025: +$9.69B. 2026 so far: +$396.1M. “ETH” is the change in Coinbase’s ETH close from the previous month’s last trading day to this month’s (July 2024 is measured from the launch-day close; October 2026 runs to October 22). The monthly CSV uses calendar month-ends instead, so a few figures differ slightly.

Flows by fund: ETHA, FETH, ETHE and the rest
Net flows since each fund’s launch, in 2026, in October 2026 and over the last five trading days, with each fund’s sponsor fee. Cumulative Ethereum ETF flows vs the ETH price
Green: running total of net flows (left axis). Blue: ETH’s Coinbase daily close (right axis, $1,472–$4,831 over the period). Flows were negative to flat for the first four months, surged from November 2024 and especially in July–August 2025 as ETH ran to its record, then gave back $2.37B after the October 2025 peak.
Do ETF flows move the ETH price?
Flows and price move together, but on 566 trading days of data, a big flow day has told you almost nothing about what ETH did next:
| Measure | Result |
|---|---|
| Daily flow vs same-day ETH change (correlation) | 0.24 |
| Daily flow vs next-day ETH change | 0.10 |
| Daily flow vs next 7 days ETH change | 0.00 |
| Monthly flow vs monthly ETH change (28 months) | 0.64 |
| ETH next 7 days after the 10% biggest inflow days (≥ +$169M) | median −1.4%, up 41% of the time |
| ETH next 7 days after the 10% biggest outflow days (≤ −$98M) | median 0.0%, up 50% of the time |
| ETH next 7 days after any day | median −0.3%, up 49% of the time |
The monthly link is strong because investors buy ETFs when ETH is rising and sell when it is falling, so flows tend to follow price as much as lead it. Since launch, ETH is −31.5% (from $3,482.9 to $2,385.86) despite +$12.74B of net inflows. If you are weighing ETH as an investment, the ETH price predictions tracker shows how flow-based forecasts (Citi’s targets are built on expected ETF inflows) have done.
Ethereum vs Bitcoin ETF flows
| Period | Bitcoin ETFs | Ethereum ETFs |
|---|---|---|
| Since Jul 23, 2024 (ETH launch) | +$39.85B | +$12.74B |
| 2024 (BTC from Jan 11, ETH from Jul 23) | +$35.25B | +$2.66B |
| 2025 | +$21.35B | +$9.69B |
| 2026 to Oct 22 | +$794.2M | +$396.1M |
| October 2026 to Oct 22 | −$175.6M | −$1.18B |
Since the ETH funds launched, bitcoin ETFs have drawn about 3.1 times as much money. In 2025 ETH funds took in +$9.69 billion against +$21.35 billion for bitcoin funds, and in October 2026 both are in net outflow, but ETH funds far more: bitcoin ETFs gave back their month-to-date inflows with −$635.6 million on October 22. For the price side of the comparison see ETH vs BTC returns.
How to read ETF flow data
- A flow is a net creation or redemption of ETF shares, in dollars. Inflows mean the fund issued new shares and added ETH to back them; outflows mean shares were redeemed and ETH left the fund. Ordinary trading between investors on the exchange is not a flow.
- Flows are not the same as assets. A fund’s assets also move with the ETH price, so a fund can lose assets on a day with inflows.
- Seed money is excluded. Grayscale’s ETHE and Mini ETH started with ETH carried over from earlier products (Farside lists $9,199.3 million and $1,022.5 million as seed). That is why ETHE shows large outflows without matching inflows.
- The newest day can be incomplete. Funds report at different times; a dash in Farside’s table means not yet reported. Check the “flows through” date at the top.
- ETF flows are only one source of demand. Staking, treasury companies and on-chain buyers don’t show up here. If you hold ETH yourself instead of through a fund, the ETF vs exchange vs hardware wallet guide compares the trade-offs.
Method
- Flows: Farside Investors’ “Ethereum ETF Flow – All Data” table (US$ millions), fetched October 23, 2026 at about 8:00 AM ET, covering 566 trading days from July 23, 2024 to Oct 22, 2026. The total column matches the sum of the fund columns on every day and Farside’s published total of +$12.74B. Dashes are stored as 0 in the explorer and left blank in the CSV.
- Prices: Coinbase Exchange ETH-USD daily candles; the close is at 00:00 UTC, a few hours after the U.S. market close that the flow day refers to. Same-day change = close on the flow date vs the previous calendar day.
- Statistics: Pearson correlations of daily net flow with ETH’s percent change; “10% biggest” days are the top and bottom 56 of 566 days. Bitcoin ETF figures are from Farside’s bitcoin table, fetched the same day.

Ethereum ETF flows FAQ
What were Ethereum ETF flows today?
The latest complete day in Farside Investors’ table is Oct 22, 2026: U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs had net flows of −$110.6M. BlackRock’s ETHA lost $75.5 million, its new staked fund ETHB $17.2 million, Grayscale’s Mini ETH (ticker ETH) $10.7 million and ETHE $9.6 million, while Fidelity’s FETH added $2.4 million. That followed a single inflow day (October 21, +$14.9 million) after five straight outflow days (October 14–20, −$388.9 million). The explorer on this page shows any day or period since launch on July 23, 2024.
Are Ethereum ETFs seeing inflows or outflows?
Outflows lately. October 2026 has had −$1.18B of net outflows through October 22, with only 2 inflow days out of 16, which makes it the second-worst month on record after November 2025 (−$1.42 billion). For 2026 as a whole, flows are still slightly positive at +$396.1M, compared with +$9.69 billion in 2025.
How much money has flowed into Ethereum ETFs since launch?
A net +$12.74B from July 23, 2024 to Oct 22, 2026, excluding the ETH that Grayscale’s two funds held before they converted. Cumulative inflows peaked at +$15.11B on Oct 8, 2025 and are now −$2.37B below that peak. Over the same period ETH fell from $3,482.90 to $2,385.86 on Coinbase (−31.5%).
Which Ethereum ETF has the most inflows?
BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), with a net +$12.26 billion since launch, about 96% of all net inflows. Fidelity’s FETH (+$2.37 billion) and Grayscale’s Mini ETH (+$2.03 billion) follow. In 2026 the leader is BlackRock’s new staked fund ETHB (+$868.0 million since its March 12 launch), while ETHA has had −$307.7 million of net outflows this year.
Why does Grayscale ETHE have so many outflows?
ETHE is the original Grayscale Ethereum Trust from 2017. It converted to an ETF on July 23, 2024 with its existing holdings and a 2.50% fee, ten times what most rivals charge, so holders have been leaving: −$5.50 billion net since conversion, including −$1.98 billion in its first seven trading days. The same holdings count as “seed”, not inflow, so the outflows show up without matching inflows.
Do ETF flows move the ETH price?
They move together, but flows have not predicted the next move. On our data, a day’s net flow and ETH’s price change that same day have a correlation of 0.24; with the next day’s change it is 0.10 and with the next seven days 0.00. Monthly flows and monthly ETH returns correlate at 0.64. After the 10% biggest inflow days, ETH’s median move over the next 7 days was −1.4%; after the 10% biggest outflow days it was 0.0%.
How do Ethereum ETF flows compare with Bitcoin ETF flows?
Since the ETH funds launched on July 23, 2024, U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs have taken in a net $39.85 billion, about 3.1 times the +$12.74B for ETH. In 2026 bitcoin ETFs are at +$0.79 billion and ETH ETFs at +$396.1M; in October 2026 (to Oct 22, 2026) bitcoin funds are at −$175.6M and ETH funds at −$1.18B.
When is Ethereum ETF flow data updated?
Each fund reports its creations and redemptions, and Farside Investors adds them to its table as they come in. A dash means a fund has not reported yet (or had not launched), so the newest row can be incomplete for a while. We refresh this page from Farside’s table; the date at the top shows the last complete day included.
Can I reuse this ETF flow data?
Yes. Our daily and monthly CSVs and the JSON (with streaks, records and the flows-vs-price statistics) are licensed CC BY 4.0. Please credit “GrowYourEthereum, Ethereum ETF flows, CC BY 4.0” with a link to this page, and credit Farside Investors as the source of the underlying daily figures.
